Smoke in the wind

I have been thinking..when it comes to exploring whats worht living for we can usually replace it with the value of another life. priceless as it is we would die for our family etc. But why would one take a life. Money?

    only 2 reasons occur to mp:
    1 - to save another life (including your own?)
    2 - insanity (temporary or otherwise)

    on thinking about it, maybe the 2 are the same and there is no valid reason to ever take a life...curious what you think.
